   What the hell?? I updated the core wordpress update on a blog that had a heavily modified twenty ten wordpress theme. (in hind sight I should have renamed the theme folder just to avoid accidents) but I have NEVER had this happen before!!

   Since when did a basic update effect anything to do with themes? I definitely didn't click
   "update all"

   a site has to have at least one theme in place - so yes the twenty ten theme is updated every time
   that's why it is recommended to make a child theme
