My wife has a Word Press blog called centerbirthingtransformation.com. She cannot access the site to update it because she forgot the password. Word Press has a prompt to e-mail a new password if you have forgotten it, but we don;t know where Word Press is sending the e-mail.
We also are unsure who is hosting her site. If we check out centerbirthingtransformation.com/webmail, it looks like it is registered at Host Gator. But she isn't getting any Word Press e-mail sent there.
In short, she needs to update the site, but she can't find WHERE the Word Press files are so she can update them. and she can;t log into the site because she doesn't know the password.
Ideas?

Well you must be paying for hosting at Host Gator? a whois search showed that much.
Contact your hosts and ask them to look in your WP database for the login info. Also ask for access to your CPanel, and keep those login details safe somewhere.

Another question related to this. My my wife's computer (MacBook) there are a number of Word Press files, mostly text files. I've been opening these trying to see if any of them have informtion relating to her site, but these all seem to be generic Word Press files, with no information specific to her site. So, am I likely to find any information related to her site in these WP files on her computer?
No you won't find it there. Do you still have the Host Gator username, and password information. Look in your email correspondence with Host Gator for this information and where you can login.
