I've seen a lot of problems posted when updating to 2.7. Just wanted to know before I do what I need to do first so as to not have any problems. Should I just click on the automatic update for 2.7 from the dashboard?

less problems are encountered when doing it manually.
The biggest problem is folks do not deactivate their plugins before upgrading.
If it were me, I would follow this advice
