I'm doing some work for a client and I don't see a way to update the home page's title tags, meta description, etc...
All of the other pages have options to update this information, but I can't seem to find the options for the home page. The home page, or index page, isn't listed in the "Pages" section.
Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks.
Title for your homepage can be changed by editing the "Site Title" field at Settings/General in your admin panel.
For the rest, you'll have to edit those in the actual template file. Go to Appearance/Editor in your admin panel and select the Header template.

How would I change the same info for a page that is located:
http://sitename.com/category/news
That directory doesn't show up in "Pages", but http://sitename.com/news does
Some of the SEO plugins out there allow you to edit meta tags on the category and archive pages. I'm not sure about which ones exactly, but I know that some of them do.
