Updating any plugin causes my plugins page to go blank

This is a new problem. When I update ANY plugin on my site, it makes the plugin screen go blank.
If I click on Dashboard/Updates, that’s blank too.

I had to rename my plugins folder, and then refresh my plugins page, then rename the plugins folder back to “plugins”, and then re-activate all my plugins. I then updated a different plugin, and the same thing happened.

So, I can’t “update” any plugins, because the screen goes blank and I have to do this all over — anyone else run into this problem???
