   Does anyone know why any changes I make to my site, in code or in widgets, takes several hours to take effect?

   Try turning off caching. Might be a plugin you've installed, or might be something in your config file that says "define ('CACHE', true);" or something.

   Ah yes, I have wp-cache installed. That sounds like a logical explanation. Thanks!
