Updates won't show in custom menu footer widgets

Hi,
I’m using WordPress 3.3.1, Buddypress and the theme “My Buddypress 1.0”.
The only plugins I have installed are Akismet, bbPress and BuddyPress (all are activated).
I have tried clearing my cache, but it doesn’t make a difference.

I have two problems.
1) I have made a custom menu, but it doesn’t show on my page. (And yes, I have assigned it as my primary navigation and saved it – in Firefox, because I had troubles getting it to save in IE.)

2) Whatever I put in my footer widgets doesn’t show. (Again, also saved in FF.) My sidebar widgets works fine and are updated as soon as I save.

I have tried to update (F5 and Ctrl+F5) as well as cleared my cache (in both browsers).
What could be wrong?
