Updated WordPress -> Broken Site (2 posts)

I am having a problem with my self-hosted account. The domain name associated with this account is communetree.com and is hosted through BlueHost.com. Today I updated WordPress and it completely broke my site. I could not login my admin page or view any part of my site. I tried to update WordPress through BlueHost but it would not work since it showed WordPress was infinitely pending an update. I reinstalled the WordPress plugin through BlueHost and now my entire site is gone. I've had BlueHost restore my account to a few days ago but this has not resolved the issue. How do I relink my WordPress with BlueHost? The current WordPress when I login through admin is a default WordPress site without any of my data or configurations - though BlueHost still contains all of my old data.

You can try linking the new site to your old database.

I'd probably make a backup of your database first. Then, change the wp-config.php file on your new install to use the original database.
