    A friend of mine updated his selfhosted wordpress blog to whatever the latest version is and posted a blog post. Now his /wp-admin page doesnt exist?

    I don't know how to fix this, help would be appreciated.

    Outdoorsdownsouth.com is his blog and this is what happens when he attempts to log in.

    Should have included more info. I looked through other posts about this problem and found them to be unresolved. I can get to the login page with http://outdoorsdownsouth.com/wp-login.php but still can't get into the dashboard.

    Can you deactivate all plugins and revert to the TwentyEleven theme to check if it is theme-specific?

    I'm actually getting the site now for back-up and I'm going to try re-upping it without plugins to see what happens.

    How do I deactivate the plugins and check the theme if I can't get into the dashboard? Is there a way?

    @Portblade,
    If your problem is exactly the same, follow the same instructions above. If not open your own topic. I will come there.

    How do I manually change the theme?

    You can do it by FTP or by loging in your cPanel and just renaming it by adding -old or -bak.

    I just tried renaming the root folder of the theme by adding an _ and tried the same thing on the htaccess file. Still no dice. Now I'm attempting to update wordpress through godaddy, I found a thread where that worked for someone.
