I updated to WordPress 3.3 yesterday. Now I cannot access the wp-admin page. Instead I get the following warning
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/marke145/public_html/wp-admin/includes/media.php on line 298
Any suggestions as how to fix this would be helpful.

I've already seen that page before posting.
You can't even get the wp-admin login. The only thing I haven't tried and am trying not to do is the manual update. I was hoping there was some other solution.
Try:
- switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme's folder in wp-content/themes and adding "-old" to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.
- resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.
- re-uploading all files & folders - except the wp-content folder - from a fresh download of WordPress.
- re-running the upgrade via wp-admin/upgrade.php
Manual update is safe as houses. You could to it a hundred times a day on a live site without issues.
