• Hi All,

I’m accessing the RSS feeds generated by the pages I have in WordPress but it appears that the RSS feeds to not update when a change has been made to the page.

I am actually consuming these RSS page feeds and putting them into another site and I want to know if the feed has been updated (since the last time I read it) as I need to do some processing and don’t want to perform this step everytime.

Does anyone have any information about this?

I’m using WP 2.0.2 and the “theme” K2.

Thanks for any help – it is most appreciated.

    Jose

    Anybody have any advice?

    Thanks,

How are you “consuming” your feeds? With a web browser? If so, be sure to clear the browser cache or “force reload” (ctrl-F5 in many browsers) to ensure you’re seeing the latest/greatest.

    Thanks HandySolo for your reply.

Sorry “consuming” is quite vague!! I’m actually making a web request programatically, parsing the RSS and then displaying the relevant parts.

The “pubDate” element (within RSS) continues to be unchanged whereas within the WordPress the “new” saved date is visible within the UI. Is there anyway this “new” date can be displayed within the RSS?

    Thanks for your help.

    Jose
