I have recently upgraded to v2.7 following your guidelines & clearing browser cache.
Have made several new blog entries without a problem. However, I have tried to update the Introduction page without success. The edit saves within WordPress but does not Preview. When Update Page is pressed the page is listed as Published but no change is visible.
Any help?

Did you try refreshing and reloading the page in your browser several times? It may be just a browser cache problem...

Yes, I tried that but still the page has not changed. The Edit Page claims it was published 12 hours ago but still the old page shows.
Is there some way of deleting the old page? When I came to do the edit, the page in the editor was blank. Should it have displayed the old page?
I did follow all instructions regarding databases & caches when upgrading to v2.7.
Yes, the old page should have been displayed in the editor. Are you using any plugins? If so, try to deactivate all of them, and them activate them one by one. See if this makes any difference.
Another thought... maybe some files did not upload correctly during upgrade. This is a possibility, but before that, since your blog entries are posting fine, I would delete the page and create a new one, to see if this solves the problem.
To delete the page, go to admin dashboard --> Pages --> You will get a list of your pages --> Delete the faulty one

Things are going from Bad to Worse!
Deleted the Intoduction page & uploaded a new page. No change. The preview still shows the old page & now I am not given the option to sign the page as Admin, even though I am logged in as Admin.
Tried adding a new test page. The preview still shows the old Introduction page. Now the page order is messed up even though Introduction is numbered 0 & Blog numbered 1...
...frustrating.

Well I've got the Intro page up. I used to have a Blog page but that has now gone. The Intro should be the first page but I dont know how to redirect as the default setting is to the last post!
This upgrade has destroyed the site!
Just in case...
1 - check your general Settings again, especially Reading --> Front page displays (latest posts or static page)
2 - update your permalinks again
If this fails, I would backup the database and files and do a clean installation.
