angstdI am trying to upgrade from 2.3.2 to 2.6. I copied all of the new WP files, excluding wp-content, to my blog directory. I then went and changed my wp-config.php, to point to my database. I then ran upgrade.php, and it told me my database was up to date. At this point I then went back to my wp-admin, and it still says that I am running 2.3.2, instead of version 6.
I have since downloaded 2.6 a few times, deleted all of old files and replaced them with new ones (with the config credentials re entered). The blog and the dashboard word fine, minus the fact that the version did not change.
At one point I tried deleting wp-config and then trying to view my blog and wp-admin. Everything still worked just fine. With the config gone, what else could be pointing to my database?
Has anyone seen something like this or have any suggestions?
