  • Hey lexivip. Thanks for the note here; that’s really weird. Something appears to be messing with the code we added for the SEO microformats. While I’m not sure what could be causing this (it might help to check for a plugin conflict of some kind, if you can) but it’s hopefully something we can advise a fix on. Let me get Jonah from our support team to take a look here no later than tomorrow, to get you a response so we can work through this.

Thanks for your patience so far, and for your use of The Events Calendar. Stay tuned.

    Hey lexivip,

Did you make any changes to /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/views/single.php? Have you tried deactivating all other plugins to see if another plugin is causing this?

That’s what I would take a look at first.

    – Jonah

Hey again lexivip. Just wanted to check in on this; can you let us know the results of your testing per Jonah’s last note (assuming you’re still having problems here)? Thanks!

Hey! thanks for the responses. The thing is, I am not sure which plugins to deactivate… but am working on it and will keep you posted.

I’d say to try them each, going one-by-one down the list, if you’re in a position to do so. That way when you notice the issue resolved you’ll be able to point to the plugin that was just deactivated as your culprit.

Let us know what that comes up with and we can try to troubleshoot from there.

Ok- I figured out the culprit! I am using a plugin called qTranslate, since my website is in Hebrew as well as English. The problem is, I really need the website to be bilingual, so not sure what to do from here…

Is there a way to just remove the “updated” section from the event?

    Hey lexivip,

Yes you can easily remove this by making a copy of /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/views/single.php and placing in an ‘events’ folder in your theme. Then open your copy and remove lines 50-51.

    I hope that helps!

Hi lexivip! Did Jonah’s response give you the information you need here? If you need further help just let us know.

Hey! Thanks for the responses…but no, they didn’t help. Do you think we might just have to remove the language plugin?

    (@barryhughes)

That’s a shame. Do you mean that you were unable to remove the “Updated” field using Jonah’s instructions? If you need further guidance on that you might want to look at our tutorial on template overrides, it certainly should work.

Going to mark this RESOLVED, as it has been a week with no response. Lexivip: if you find that you are still having problems, feel free to re-open this and let us know so we can take another look. Thanks!
