Updated but still shows me to Update latest version

    Hello!
    I’ve installed a wordpress 2.7 blog to my hosting. But after using few days, in Admin panel a message shows me to update latest version. But I am using latest WordPress 2.7 version. When I click on “Upgrade automatically” it says-

    “Downloading update from http://wordpress.org/wordpress-2.7.zip

    Download failed.: Connect failed; Operation now in progress

    Installation Failed”

    I don’t know how to get rid it! Need a little help.

    look in /wp-includes/version.php

    the correct version should be there – if not, put 2.7
    save – reupload

    It’s fine & Still showing me to update the latest version. I checked my wordpress with Exploit scanner plugin. Gave a message at top-

    Core WordPress files should never be modified, except for the Akismet plugin which may be upgraded separately from WordPress. If akismet.php appears here and you have upgraded the plugin then this is probably a false alarm. It might be worth double checking by downloading it again if you suspect your system has suffered a break in.
