I can login to my wordpress and reach the dashboard but when I open any edit pages (posts, pages, updates, etc) I just get a white screen. I recently updated and that is when the problems started.
Any clues on what to do? Can I revert back to the old version and re-download the latest version without complications? Can I re-download the latest version now? Is there another solution to fixing this problem?

Try:
- switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme's folder in wp-content/themes and adding "-old" to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.
- resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.
- re-uploading all files & folders - except the wp-content folder - from a fresh download of WordPress.
- re-running the upgrade via wp-admin/upgrade.php
