[resolved] Update Version # of Plugin (4 posts)

I have waited hours, and my plugin has not updated it's version number. The first and obvious problem I had was that I didn't update my readme version #. I fixed that already. Does anyone have any other ideas?

I'm attempting to use version number 0.9.1 ... my old (current) version is 0.9.

If it helps, my plugin is located here:

Thanks in advance for your time.

'shareandsearch.php' has to read version 0.9.1 as well

Thanks, that worked! Both the php file and the readme file must have their versions updated.

Now, is it just a matter of time before the wp-admin for other users informs them that there's a new version? Or do I have to do anything to trigger a "new version" propogation?

If I recall correctly, there is a default 12 hours cycle through all installations ... or in other words, sometime within the next 12 hours your users should see a "badge" on the Plugins link indicating an update is available.

Sometimes the update notice will appear if the user checks manually but I have seen this take a few hours in the past ... no idea why.

The update itself should be available for download within 15 minutes of the commit, if you have a mailing list for the plugin you could send out an announcement.
