   I noticed the other day that when I posted a reply to a post, the wordpress page where my post was turned yellow and faded to the white or grey showing my post without refreshing the whole page. Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction on how to do this. I am fascinated by how that is done. Thanks

   That's a trick used by the developers of bbPress, the software that runs the forum.

   Consider joining the bbPress developers email list and maybe someone could answer that there...

   In the last post of this thread http://wordpress.org/support/topic/42839 there is a link to Owen's site where you can download this experimental tool (though it was disabled on his site), and also some links for further reading.
