Update to 2.8.6 ... all gone, no website, no admin access, no nothing (8 posts)

    Hey all,

usually I am pretty much careful when updating my website and new wordpress versions. However, this time after upgrading my website, everything went blank.

My website is completely gone, just white.
I don't have access to my admin area anymore - all white
I talked to my server company and got a backup from the database and all of the directories from yesterday. Nothing - still white. I never experienced this before ... seems like I am in big trouble since I don't know how to proceed.

I deleted all plugins, nothing, still white ... of course I tried to go back to 2.8.5 ... still white ... I definitely don't know what happened.

Usually when I experience problems I go back a version, reimport the database just in case I think it has been damaged and all is good ... but this time it seems serious.

Anyway? Thanks so much in advance!

    Alex

Have the same issue, but only with one user, on one particular machine. Have you tried to access the site from another machine?

since you have upgraded need to know were you using your blog of a folder or is wordpress folders and files in a folder or root

Did you deactivate all plugins as there might be some that not compatible.

did you switch to default theme as your theme may not be compatible.

    Hey,

I have the same problem. I downloaded wpTuneup as my site and dashboard was running slow and then suddenly all I get is a blank white screen on both pages.

If someone can direct me what to do now that will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    jack

Use Filezilla to delete that plugin and/or rename the whole plugin folder to deactivate all plugins.

    Hey Songdogtech,

Thanks for getting back to me. I went in and deleted the file and all is back now. Greatly appreciate your help there.
