Update Pack

    There is a new update, and I have been unable to locate the contents of the pack on the D5 website. From everything I have seen, it is a fresh install, which is not of interest to me. I would like to see the changes before I update and have my child theme wiped out by more things which do not suit my purpose.

    Where is the update pack available for download?

    Don’t worry, your child theme is protected from updates as long as its outside of the actual theme’s directory.
    For example,
    A child theme in this directory would be protected;

    /wp-content/themes/

    But a child theme in this directory would not be protected;

    /wp-content/themes/d5-design/

    I understand that. If there is no substantive change to features I actually use, I am not willing to upgrade. The theme drop box has nothing new since I downloaded it except a fresh install.

    If there are updates, which files are updated? I opened a number of core .php files to see no changes, although in my child theme I changed them from what is shown.

    Updated theme doesn’t affect the child theme.

    Thank you for resolving this ticket without answering my questions. It leads me to finding a new theme.
