"update gallery" button does not save changes

After making changes to an existing WordPress gallery, hitting the “update gallery” button returns me immediately to the edit screen. None of the changes appear when I then view the page. Caption changes and image reordering will show through the “edit gallery” button, but are not shown on the actual page.

The update gallery button links to “http://jaxcathedral.org/newsite/wp-admin/post.php?post=2&action=edit#”

I am able to edit text and add images outside the gallery. I have disabled all plugins to no avail.

WordPress resides in the subfolder “newsite,” but I did change the site address to simply jaxcathedral.org for aesthetic reasons. Is it possible this is a path problem? All the original gallery images display, it’s just that I can’t seem to change them now.

No doubt I’m missing something very simple. I’d appreciate any advice.
