• Hi,

Your update went well other than the file open issue, since i am experienced i knew all i had to do was just change the permission for the visitor maps plugin folder and so i made it 777 while installing the Geo and it worked great. Then i changed it back to 755. I did just now check your faq out of curiosity and did not see that option. Just as a plan B you might want to mention that in your faq.

The download for GEO will start fine but just sit there forever. So i checked my cpanel error log and sure enough i saw the error so i change the permission for the VMaps folder to 777 and it worked. If someone does not know this they might just sit there forever and knot know there is an error. Just wanted to offer that solution as well.

    Regarding the feature idea:

For me i modify the text output to the maps so that it reads the way i need it to since i pull the maps in an iframe on my site from the blog. I do other mods as well to the files regarding specific output due to need for the user to only see what they need to.

This process works pretty good, this way i can have a member map page on my website and not have the user visit the blog, and it also registers the pin using the iframe so all is well that way.

The idea im suggesting is that it would be nice to have a override folder in the script so that if i change a php or some other file, the script will see it and use the override file instead of the default file. This will help me to keep from replacing the mods every time a minor update comes out. Yes i know i would need to keep the override files updated as well but it is soooooo much easier this way. Just thought i would see your thoughts on that.

    Thanks 🙂
