    Hi
I have the Atahualpa theme and for some reason when I any of the widgets, in this case the Upcoming Events widget, it shows the title but the links don't do anything. When I add {link} to the template in the widget, nothing shows up at all.
I also can't seem to add any of the other My Calendar widgets when I have one of them already on the page.

    Please help!
    Many thanks!

    As it appears right now, there are no links in your upcoming events. Read the descriptions of template tags on the Help screen to figure out which you need; but if you're not adding custom links to each event, your probably want {details} or {linking}

Thanks. I added {linking} into the template and it shows the link but it doesn't actually link to anything. It's just text.

I'm sorry if I'm missing something here.

Are you on the latest version of My Calendar? Have you defined a home URL for your calendar? (My Calendar > Settings)

    I'm using 2.3.9
I have filled in the "Where is your main calendar page?" and the "Target URL for mini calendar date links:" to the page that has the [my_calendar] shortcode on it.

Can you show me what the actual template for your widget is?

ok so I have played with a bit. If i fill in the URL on the event form for it's own event page, then it works.
That means I have to create the event, get the link, go back into the event, add the link the URL form and then it works.

That doesn't seem correct to me but it's the only way to get the widget to work.

    <span style="color: #3D3B3B;">{date}</span> <br> {link_title}<br /><span>{time}</span>

I see. I though that you'd changed it to use {linking}?

{link_title} shows the URL entered into the URL field; {linking} shows that URL if it's been entered, or the auto-generated details page link if it hasn't been.

When I put in {linking}, it put out the URL itself as plain text. The title of the event never shows up.

That just means that you need to wrap it in HTML:

    <a href='{linking}'>{title}</a>

That would give you what you want automatically, while allowing you to use an alternate link if you chose.
