Unwanted forward slashes

When I create a name for a link with an apostrophe, a forward slash (or several) is automatically added.

For example, when I named a link “Sally’s Online Portfolio”, the name ends up displaying as “Sally/’s Online Portfolio”

I have repeatedly tried to delete the slashes, including deleting the name, saving the blank name and creating a new name.

How do I get rid of those unwanted slashes?
