unsure about ftp info

    I currently have a wordpress.com site that is self-hosted on the wordpress.com server. My question is I am unsure what to put in the ‘host; username; password’ sections of my ftp? I am presuming the username and passwords are the same I use to login into my wordpress.com dashboard (?), but I am unsure what ‘host’ should be…?? Would it be wordpress.com? or my domain name (im thinking not)

    That’s not really how it works, WordPress.COM doesn’t let you self-host…

    If you’re using WordPress.COM for your blog then there isn’t any. If you are actually hosting your own blog on another host then you want to contact your host provider. Your host can explain if they support FTP to you and how to access it.

    Ok thank you, someone else set the .com site up for me and I have asked who hosts the site and they told me it is self hosted on WordPress.com (although after researching I was a bit alarmed when nobody else seemed to be…).
