I am trying to activate (unpark) my domain that I purchased on WordPress.com through an external host (Godaddy), but my site is parked by Automattic. I have already changed the nameservers to point to Godaddy. What I am trying to do is move my blog in order to self-host on WordPress.org. Do I need to also purchase an offsite redirect upgrade in order to unpark my domain?
My wordpress.com blog is riskywhisk.wordpress.com and my domain that I purchased on wordpress.com is theriskywhisk.com.
Thank you!
Your nameserver change may take up to 48 hours to propagate to your ISP's DNS cache. Unfortunately, this is an industry standard.
How long has it been since you made the change?

Hah! You again :) Thanks for replying!
You helped me out on this 4 days ago:

I changed the nameservers immediately following that post from ns1.wordpress.com and ns2.wordpress.com to ns01.domaincontrol.com and
ns02.domaincontrol.com (as directed by godaddy here). I changed the nameservers on my domain manager on wordpress.com and under my hosting manager on godaddy.com to point to godaddy. But for some reason, Automattic has parked my domain and I can't figure out why. I can't access my login page (theriskywhisk.com/wp-admin) to import my blog from wp.com. Did I do something wrong or am I just impatient?
It looks like it has the right nameservers. I guess you should contact wordpress.com's support department. There may be something wrong on their end, or I could be misunderstanding something about the process.
