[resolved] Unexplained Space Under My Menu Bar (3 posts)

Hey guys. I've got a problem I'm really frustrated with and I'm wondering if anybody could help me out.

I'm using a modified verison of the Comicpress theme (but this applies to any theme, really). Since my sidebars don't go down to the footer, I set the background image of the page container to include the sidebar design. However, now there's some space between the menu bar and the comic page where the sidebar background peeks through. I can't seem to figure out where this "blank area" is coming from. I checked my CSS and there's no padding under the menubar or over the comic area (that I can see, at least).

I would simply set that background of the menu bar to be white, but that puts white space inbetween the menu bar and the sidebars on regular pages without the comic.

You can see the WIP page here: http://silverageonline.com/secret/

My stylesheet is located here: http://silverageonline.com/secret/wp-content/themes/comicpress-3c/style.css

If somebody can help me out, I'd really appreciate it.

    Thanks.

    Hey there! :)

From what I can tell, either the ul or the li of your menu is giving you the extra 1px gap.

Make sure your list images for your menu and make sure your list itself has the margins and paddings set right and doublecheck your image sizes and the sizing of your list blocks?

I'm actually not completely sure how styling the menu works. I'm just trying to make the the size match the size of the images. I've looked through my CSS and I still can't seem to find why it's doing that.
