Undoing update

    The newer version of WordPress 3.4.2 was updated on our website by another staff member, however it is not supported and a lot of the tools are not working when editing a page. No options for adding a new table or cell appear. Can not click on the HTML tab to edit. Can not even see what is already there. Although when I view the website, everything is there and fine.
    Need to either undo the update or other suggestions. I would prefer not to have to restart everything from scratch if possible.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.
