Whoa! No warning that the Category to Tag conversion would rip the categories out of posts and that they would disappear from the category list and the filter by category would no longer be present!
Is there anyway to undo this?

The code (mysql query) given in the post linked above works well only if you did NOT have any tags before the conversion!

I've spent a longish time looking for examples of good uses of tags, and for a before and after example of a tag conversion. Are there such resources out there and I'm missing them?
