Thanks for your feedback.
How did you create the mentioned sidebar? It seems like a missing option, Handle, that should have been saved to the database.
The notice will not cause any problems for your site, except for that message, but I will put in a safety in the next release.
Hi Joachim, the sidebar was created using the Content Aware Sidebars plugin, not via code in my theme.
If you go to the Sidebars administration screen (http://s.w.org/plugins/content-aware-sidebars/screenshot-2.png?r=886927), what is displayed in the Handle column for the sidebar?
The Handle column for the sidebar displays “Replace: Main Widget Area”
The other column values are “Exposure: Singular & Archive” and “Merge position: Bottom”. I’m using the Twenty Thirteen theme.
If you go to the Widgets screen, does the “Replace: Main Widget Area” description show up in the created sidebar? See “Very Categorized Posts” in this image: http://s.w.org/plugins/content-aware-sidebars/screenshot-3.png?r=889376
Sorry for the delay, yes it does display “Replace: Main Widget Area” in my sidebar “Test Sidebar” – see screenshot
Does the sidebar work as it should?
The warning should be removed in version 2.1. Can you confirm/deny this?
Hi Joachim, I can confirm that version 2.1 does resolve this issue for me – thanks for your assistance troubleshooting this and for a great plugin! Cheers, David
