I can see this is a common problem and this is the second time I’ve been hit with it. The first time, I deleted cookies and temporary files and it worked. Now, it’s struck again and nothing I’ve done seems to work. I’ve deactivated all plugins, changed the theme of the site, cleared my Internet history, reloaded Flash player, anything I could think of really before finally giving up and coming here.

When I look in my media library, the photos and audio files I originally uploaded are still there but I can no longer insert them into posts and pages. Nor can I upload anything new to my media library, I just keep getting the rather unhelpful message ‘HTTP Error’.

As a professional singer I rely quite heavily on my Word Press site for publicity and of all the online marketing tools I use, the Word Press site is the most attractive and professional looking. But it’s not much good to me if I can’t upload anything to it 🙁

Sorry, I don’t understand the question.

I will check out the link, though, and see if following that solves the problem.

    Cheers.

Edit: I barely got a third of the way down the page. I’m a singer, not an IT technician, so I really didn’t have a clue what “advice” the link was giving me. Put this in there and put that in here and…oh, forget it; if we can’t keep it simple then how do we expect folk to understand? I’ll pass this on to someone more IT literate. What a shame that not everyone follows the deathless acronym K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple, Stupid)
