    can anyone advise me?

I cannot delete it either and am getting the same error message.
It would be great if someone out there could advise us!

Edit the file uninstall.php and find the line with UNINSTALL_WPSUPERCACHE on it and make sure it's defined as 1. Then run uninstall.php from your browser.

You'll probably need an ftp client to download the file, then notepad or whatever your favourite editor is, to edit the file, then upload it again.

I am not computer literate enough to do this.
Can you please explain in laymen's terms?
    Thanks,
    Ltrunzo

Unfortunately you need to know how to edit files through your ftp client to do this, but if it's any consolation the necessity to do this is removed in the development version!

This phrase "UNINSTALL_WPSUPERCACHE" does not exist in the uninstall.php. I've been looking for it for over an hour in the uninstall.php. It's not there. But every single instruction offering on how to remove WP Super Cache says it is.

Here's my uninstall.php file for WP Super Cache. The phrase is not there. You can't make a change to a line of code if it doesn't exist:

Does anybody know how to uninstall WP Super Cache with the actual instructions that match the wording in the uninstall php file? Because apparently all the Web sites that offer the instructions seems to think non-existent "UNINSTALL_WPSUPERCACHE" is actually included in the uninstall php. It's not.

The uninstall instructions changed in the last release. Check the plugin documentation for the correct ones! It's a lot easier now! http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-super-cache/other_notes/
