I am unable to switch from visual to HTML on the add new posts page. So far I have disabled all the plugins, cleared the cache, re-enabled the plugins. Nothing helped. The disable visual editor check box is unchecked.

    Have you tried:

    - switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    - re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

Switching to 2011 and resetting the plugin folder didn't work. I can't re-upload here at work, I'll try that when I get home. I did do a re-install from the updates page. I'm wondering if this may be a tinymce issue (although there haven't been any changes I'm aware of).

It's not a 3.3.1 issue. Both editors are working fine in my dozen or so 3.3.1 sites.

I checked in IE (was using Chrome) and saw a warning icon. The errors are:
    Line: 2
    Char: 1
    Error: 'tinyMCE' is undefined'
    Code: 0
and the URL of the site. The next error is the same thing but Line 1049 The final error is line 1246 Char 3 Object required.

Could be the result of a bad upgrade. Re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes should fix that.

No upgrade was done prior to this occurring. Still, I will try that when I get home this evening.

In checking the error logs I see this:

    http:// my site info/wp-includes/js/tinymce/wp-tinymce.php
suexec policy violation: see suexec log for more details

Try contacting your hosts. It looks like a server configuration issue.
