   I assume any comments Akismet marks as spam should show up in the Akismet Spam section in the manage menu, unless you leave it alone for 15 days when they're automatically deleted?

   Well, Akismet keeps telling me it's caught spam, but nothing ever shows up in there:

   e.g. Yesterday it said:

   "Akismet has caught 313 spam for you since you installed it.

   You have no spam currently in the queue. Must be your lucky day. :)"

   And today:

   "Akismet has caught 331 spam for you since you installed it.

   You have no spam currently in the queue. Must be your lucky day. :)"

   So, is there any reason why nothing is showing up for me? It's clearly catching stuff... just not showing it to me.

   It is catching thousands of spams a minute. Today's stats:

   29,632,322 spams caught so far
   671,282 so far today
   88% of all comments are spam

   So if you are being hit with spam from the same addresses / IP's then Akismet is just saying what it has done because if an IP sends you 330 spams it is highly unlikely that the 331st will be a legit comment. So why show you the junk?
   From posts here (or rather no posts here) Akismet has a very very low failure rate so I'd just trust Akismet.

   Umm.. No, that's weird. All spam Akismet catches should show up in the queue there. It does for me. The idea is that you can go through and find any non-spam, in order to correct Akismet if it does get something wrong.

   InsaneLampshade: I don't know what your problem is, but I can confirm that what you are saying is happening is not normal and not what is supposed to happen.

   Bump

   I'm having the same problem.

   Askimet is blocking spam for me each day. Unfortunately it also blocked a comment from a "real life" friend who told me the comment didnt show up. I have no way of finding the comment because the spam is not showing up in my queue.

   The askimet FAQ says the comments stay in the database for 15 days. http://akismet.com/faq/ I've dumped the wp-comments table and don't see any spam at all (even though I get spam every day according to the plugin).

   Is there a way to fix this?

   Go to Plugins->Akismet Configuration. Do you have the "Automatically discard spam comments on posts older than a month" option turned on? That can cause spam to automatically disappear, if it's made on your older posts.

   What version of Akismet are you running?
