Unable to see images in media library when adding an image to a post

    I have added all my images to the media library, yet when I go to add an image to a post or page and select ‘Media Library’, although it shows the number of images, none of them are listed. I can get them to list if I enter a space in the Search Media iput box and submit the search.

    On other sites I run, it works okay. Has anyone come across this problem and knows what is causing it.?

    All other image functionality is working okay, including if images are added to the post or page gallery.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

    Many thanks for the advise. I found the problem. I had registered a taxonomy called ‘type’ and that must have been causing a conflict. I changed it to something else and it worked.

    What is strange is that it isn’t on the list of reserved terms in http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/register_taxonomy.

    I’m having this same problem, without the problematic “type” tag/category. Persists with all plugins disabled. Using WordPress 3.0.3.
