   Hi,

   I just configured a local version of my blog with xampp (last version). The blog is working without problems in http://localhost, nevertheless I'm not able to connect to the backend. Passwords are not being accepted (or so, because I don't get any particular message).

   I had been following all the steps indicated in http://codex.wordpress.org/Login_Trouble, but the problem persist.

   Can anybody help me, please?

   try wp-login.php instead of wp-login

   I don't think this is a xampp problem (everything is properly installed and responding). It appears to me that it have to come, somehow, from a wordpress missconfiguration.
   As I could be misstaken I checked the files you propose, but can't see anything that helps me with this particular problem.

   I'm running out of ideas. I run a complete reinstallation of both wordpress and db and the verys same problem persist.

   Any ideas?
