   Hello there I been trying to install wordpress It gets hanged on step 2. gives me the following popup error "Connection closed by remote server" in opera "http://www.myhost.com/wp/wp-admin/install.php?step=2". And in IE and FF There is no Popup just gets hanged. I tried installing in a diffrent host machine it worked without a problem. anyone any idea whats going wrong.

   hello cant anyone help me... at least how about a manual install.... the manual install at http://codex.wordpress.org/ was not that helpful. I would like to to step 1-2-3 manually ..

   If it works at one host and fails at another, I'd be talking to the host.

   If it's your own machine, I'd be looking at what's different between them.

   I just moved the install from my host where WP was working to the new host where it was not working I imported the database edited the config page etc. Now When I try to open WP I get a Blank page

   well I have a similar problem. I just installed WP on my local server, for testing purpose only.
   As I installed it on my providers server, WP install runs fine. So I assume, the problem is the local APACHE.
   Still searching for an answer ... G
