• I am trying to install WordPress via MAMP locally but I couldn’t even reach the wp-admin/install/php page.

I’ve managed to set this up a year ago and was able to do it. I wanted to change my theme so I started developing a new theme in Dreamweaver. However Dreamweaver is displaying messages like internal server error. So I decided to redo everything from the beginning.

I deleted MAMP from my applications folder and downloaded the new version of both MAMP and WordPress. After installing MAMP, I copied all wordpress files into the htdocs folder, created wordpress database in phpMyadmin then updated the wp-config.php file to my MySql settings.

After that, I tried going to localhost/wp-admin/install.php and I got the 404 Not Found page. I tried changing the ports to default then resetting them back again, neither works.

I might be missing a step???

    Would really appreciate your help.

    Thanks!
