Unable to get out of repair loop when I try to install (2 posts)

    I am trying to install wordpress onto my one.com account. I keep getting this message:

    To allow use of this page to automatically repair database problems, please add the following line to your wp-config.php file. Once this line is added to your config, reload this page.
    define('WP_ALLOW_REPAIR', true);

    I have done this, run the repair and the optimize. All says okay and optimized. Then it tells me to remove this line from my wp-config.php file, which I do. Then the entire thing starts over again. It again says:

    To allow use of this page to automatically repair database problems, please add the following line to your wp-config.php file. Once this line is added to your config, reload this page.
    define('WP_ALLOW_REPAIR', true);

    What do I do to get out of this vicious circle? Thank you.

    Try using phpMyAdmin to drop all tables from your database and try the install again. If it's easier for you just delete and re-create the database.
