   We installed a new copy of WordPress 2.7. Everything seems to work except sending email. I can't find where to insert the SMTP information in this new version.

   I have a secure server that requires a username and password.

   I discovered the problem when attempting to retreive passwords. We get the following error message:

   "The e-mail could not be sent.
   Possible reason: your host may have disabled the mail() function..."

   Where is that enabled?
