• I created a wordpress menu from the Appearance admin settings.

I added in all my links from the category/page menu and saved it.

Now when I try to move some of these menu items or edit them, it does not let me.

The hyperlinks to “remove/edit/cancel” and the field boxes that are meant to be editable, are not clickable or useable.

The only way to fix this is to completely delete the menu and remake it again, but this is a huge hassle.

I have no idea why it is doing this, I disabled all plugins and tried a different theme, but it is the same.

Which file contains this menu item so I can try edit it manually?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.
