When I go into the Editor, changes that I make do not go through to the site. In the past, with other themes, I had no problem using the Editor capability to work with the CSS. With this theme, it's almost like there's a disconnect between the Editor and the site. Also when I try to upgrade my Plugins, I get a failure message. I can change the CSS with FTP, but that's a couple more steps than I would like. Any suggestions?

Are you doing a hard refresh (CTRL and F5) after each style change to ensure that you aren't seeing an old copy of the pages?

Have you tried switching themes temporarily to see if this problem is theme related? Deactivating your plugins might also be a good idea in case you've got a conflict somewhere.
