When I attempt to run the install.php script, I get the following message:

"Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL which is required for WordPress."

I already created the database on my host and have confirmed its functionality with my host's technical support. I have filled out the correct user name, database name, database password, and database host in the wp-admin.php file before I uploaded it. Any ideas?

That's usually a sign that PHP and MySQL cannot "talk" to each other. I am not a techie person but I remember knowledgable members talking about the missing mysql extension in PHP... or something like that :)

    Put this in Google:
site:wordpress.org/support Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL which is required for WordPress
