   I am unable to create posts or pages in WordPress. I am able to reach the page to create a post/page, but when I click 'Publish,' it brings be back to the listing of posts/pages and does not display the 'Page published. View page' text. I know that the database connectivity is fine because the user accessing the database is a mysql 'root'.

   My machine is running:
   Apache 2.2.11
   PHP 5.2.10 VC6
   MySQL 5.1.36
   Windows Server 2008 Standard

   My WordPress install is also running the following plugins:
   Akismet
   IImage Gallery
   NextGEN Gallery
   StatsPress CN

   If this problem could be solved, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

   I don't think it is directly related, but you will usually have a much easier time running Open Source PHP/MySQL apps like WordPress on a Linux server, rather than a Windows one.

   My first suggestion would be to disable all of your plugins, and then try to create a Post or Page, just to confirm that the problem lay with the core WordPress files, and not one of your plugins.

   If the problem persists, I would suggest making a full backup of your database and files, and then reinstalling WordPress.

   It's not a sure solution. But many times reinstalling WordPress will fix your problem.

   And since it only takes a few minutes to reinstall it is ussually less trouble to do a full reinstall rather than spend time looking for the specific problem. Good luck!
