Unable to create galleries on WP 3.5 with NextGen Gallery 1.9.10

    Hello,

    WP version 3.5 is supported by NextGEN Gallery 1.9.10 ?

    I’m unable to create any gallery under the wp-content/gallery folder
    I made a try by settings permissions on 777 on wp-content/gallery on my WP installation.

    My configuration is:
    Fedora core 17
    Apache 2.2.22-4.fc17
    PHP 5.4.10 (so safe mode is removed and doesn’t any sense)
    Wordpress 3.5

    I’m sure NextGen try to use the wp-content/gallery folder because if I remove the folder and try to create galleries in NextGEN i get this error:

    Directory /wp-content/gallery/ didn't exist. Please create first the main gallery folder !

    If I create the gallery folder I get this error:

    Directory /wp-content/gallery/ is not writeable !

    wp-content/gallery is sett with permissions to 777

    Any idea?
    I like this plugin and I wish to use it on my site.

    For me galleries is creates as a directories, but don’t reflects in admin panel.

    I also have same problem. Folder is created, but there is no gallery to manage in admin panel.

    Hi,

    this seems to be a general WordPress 3.5 issue. i have the exact same problem (WP 3.5, latest NextGen Beta):

    1. via admin panel i add a gallery
    2. the site just reloads without confirmation that gallery was added
    3. when i check the server (via ftp) i can see that the folders have been added
    4. but the admin panel for nextgen gallery just doesn’t show an entry for the new gallery.

    This is really a dealbreaker, i have some important reviews waiting in line to be released but i can’t add images. As it is a hardware review (Nexus 4 Smartphone) it makes no sense to release without images.

    Has anybody a clue?

    i tried:

    1. deactivating all plugins
    2. using the default theme
    3. adding multiple galleries

    And nothing helped.

    Would be great if one of the developers of this plugin could help us out!
