Unable to create directory wp-content/uploads. Is its parent directory writable (5 posts)

    Hi there.

    I always get this error message whenever I try to upload a photo to my new blog. Does anyone know why? Had nothing but problems from day 1, all I want to do is write an article and p[ost a photo, please help :(

    Unable to create directory wp-content/uploads. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

    PS) I can't go to settings/misc as its not on this version.

    Try changing the permissions on the wp-content directory to 766. If you still have problems, try 767, 775 or 777. Once your uploads are working, change the permissions on wp-content back to 755 again and check that everything still works OK.

    Where do i find these permissions please? Is this in WordPress or the FTP Manager?

    Your best bet to ask your hosts' assistance for changing folder permissions. The process can vary from host to host.
