I have just installed the latest plugin version 1.0.4. After activating and saving the settings i went to the Dashboard link of WPBB. I tried to create a category but all it displays is an empty page.

I tried to check with firebug if any theme coloring issue is there but there was no such thing. There is no html coming.
Similar case happens when creating a forum/subforum.

Sounds like you may be having the same problem as this person here:
    http://wordpress.org/support/topic/database-problem-29?replies=2

Are you using WPBB 1.0.4? WordPress 3.4.2? Plugins you have activated alongside WPBB? The easiest thing to do would be to send me an email if you can and create a temporary admin account for me to look into this issue (email is me at codebycarter.com).

    Thanks

I am a newbie to wordpress and am having I think almost the same issue as the above poster. I am trying to learn so I am just using my computer as the local host. I can create forums, sub forums and topics but cannot create a category. I have deactivated it as well as uninstalled it and did a fresh install again and still nothing.

    Hi Prototype2459,

Currently looking into this issue. If you would also be willing to email me a temporary admin account login (me at codebycarter.com) I'd be able to look into this for you or apply the fix if I find the problem on the other persons site if and when I have access.

    Thanks

This just became a bit more strange. It still wont create a category and gives me an error when attempting to create it however when I create a forum and subforum they both seem to create a category. I also sent you that e-mail did you happen to get it?

    Thanks

Thanks yes just realised it was in my spam folder. Couldn't access your website, obviously have to wait until you turn the server online. Are you running LAMP or WAMP by any chance? Should work fine on WAMP although not tested by myself I assume a lot of would be using that. I've heard from somebody that they had trouble with the plugin on LAMP and since moving it worked fine.
