Unable to connect to database/tables not closed correctly? (6 posts)

I keep getting the error message that there is an error establishing a database connection. I already checked the wp-config.php file and all the passwords/information is correct. I've gotten the error on both the front and back end of the site. After refreshing a few times, sometimes it will work, sometimes it won't. It's very finicky.

I went ahead and tried a database repair and got the following failures:

wp_usermeta: 3 clients are using or haven't closed the table properly
wp_posts: 7 clients are using or haven't closed the table properly
wp_options: 111 clients are using or haven't closed the table properly
wp_postmeta: 11 clients are using or haven't closed the table properly

I do not find any error connecting to database now. However, certain tools report HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error.

    BTW, note these:
    - You need to update WordPress to the current version
    - Update plugins
    - Update your theme

What exactly does that mean I need to do... I keep getting this error alternating with the error connecting to the database:

Warning: Unknown: open_basedir restriction in effect.
File(/home/vol6/xtreemhost.com/xth_12059604/htdocs/wp-admin/widgets.php) is not within the allowed path(s): (/php_sessions:/tmp:/var/www/errors:/home/vol2/0fees.net/fees0_12210861/htdocs) in Unknown on line 0

Warning: Unknown: failed to open stream: Operation not permitted in Unknown on line 0

Fatal error: Unknown: Failed opening required '/home/vol6/xtreemhost.com/xth_12059604/htdocs/wp-admin/widgets.php' (include_path='.') in Unknown on line 0

I updated everything, so that shouldn't be the problem

Yes, there shouldn't be. Have you talked to your hosts?

Who hosts your site? 0fees.net (free hosting) or xtreemhost.com (another free/ cheap hosting)?
As you have updated everything, you may contact your host, if you have not yet.
