    Hello, I am trying to change color of the text in the sidebar (link is below), where it says "examples." I've tried everything I can think of in terms of CSS stuff and nothing has worked. Can anyone help?

    Where are you trying to make your CSS changes?
    Can you give an example of what you've tried?

    Well I'm using a CustomCSS plugin, and with Firefox's Firebug I pinpointed the element, which I'm pretty sure is <ul id="menu-sidebar" class="menu-widget">

    So then in the CSS tool I've been doing things like

    #menu-sidebar

    {color: XXXX;}

    and variations on that

    Have you tried applying the styles to the anchor tag within the sidebar?
    E.g

    #menu-sidebar a {
     color: deeppink;
    }

    Colours and textual styles are usually applied to textual elements, not <ul>s.
