[resolved] Unable to Change Site WordPress URL in MyPHP (6 posts)

    Hello,
    I just setup a new blog and accidentally changed the WordPress Site URL on my new blog to one of my other existing blogs. I'm now not able to login into MyPHP admin on GoDaddy.com to change it back.

    Is there another way to do this without having to re-install WordPress?

    Thanks,
    Misti

    I'm now not able to login into MyPHP admin on GoDaddy.com to change it back.

    That is weird...I'd talk to Godaddy support about that!!!

    Could add these to your wp-config.php (of course use the correct address(es):

    define('WP_HOME', 'http://example.com');
    define('WP_SITEURL', 'http://example.com');

    See Editing wp-config.php

    I'm asking GoDaddy if they can re-set my PHP login. They did tell me they have limited support in with WordPress.

    Just to know, that phpMyAdmin is not the same as your WordPress login. And neither of those would be your Godaddy login.

    If you can login to Godaddy, then I believe in your Databases you can click on manager to get into phpMyAdmin

    Hello, if I can pick up here, GoDaddy offers a product which is a WordPress Hosted Website. This is what I have and what mschindele may have.

    I did the same thing as mschindele and can't get into my Php either. I notice that when the login error message comes back, it says that my usernmae is the SAME ONE as I use in WordPress wp-login.php, which makes me think the two are linked through the installation process.

    I am currently on hold to GoDaddy to see if they can help me. Any further comments from the WordPress Moderators or other GoDaddy clients would be welcome.

    Per MichaelH's response above:

    Though you may use the same login information for your GoDaddy control panel and WordPress, the two are not linked in any way.
